George Johnson Jr.

George Johnson was brought up playing drums at his hometown church in Los Angeles, California. He was discovered as a standout drummer at an early age, and it wasn't long before George got a break with Montel Jordan and played on his "This Is How We Do It" Tour in 1999. Soon after that, George recorded with saxophonist Dave Koz on his album, "The Dance." In the last 10 years, George has toured with 98 Degrees, Ne-Yo, Kelly Clarkson, Deborah Cox, JC Chaze, Fantasia, Kelly Price, Patti LaBelle and Chaka Khan, as well as playing on the first ever American Idol Tour. Currently drumming for Grammy-Award winning artist, SEAL, he can also be spotted playing at "The Foxxhole," a comedy and R&B music show created by Jamie Foxx.
